An exciting litter is due 26th May 2025 in South Island New Zealand (Canterbury) from our lovely bitch UKCh Aytee Katerina (Karat) and American sire Ch Edelmarke Second Coming, JH ROM.(Sherman)

Both parents are health tested and proven hunting dogs from lines of winning Field Triallers in the UK and Master Hunters in the USA and both are also show champions.

Pups should have fabulous temperaments for training as bird dogs as well as being kind family dogs with children.

A.I. has been performed and Karat has been scanned and is in pup.

Please call Lucie if you are interested and would like more details.

Friday 13th June - “S” Litter 3 weeks old

It’s been a busy week. Karat has been producing huge amounts of milk as they feed constantly and to help her out weaning has started, and pups are keen on their soaked Black Hawk puppyhood. They have all been wormed for the first time, nails cut again to try and stop Karat getting too scratched and they have become very vocal along with much more activity and play. Here is a snapshot of the last few days….

Friday 20th June 2025 - “S” Litter 4 weeks old.

Hoping you all had a good Matariki Day. Weather at the kennels was lovely in the morning and pups spent some time outside for the first time. Once that was done they had a photo call.  518 pix later and with a bit of food stuck to clothes and puppies we did end up with some pictures.  I hope these are a help to you all - apologies for the messy ones, but we did our best - not bad for 4 weeks old I reckon ! Pink and Purple wouldnt keep still so only one view!

the day continued busy as we lifted pups into a pen in the garden for an hour.

Sunday 22nd June - pups moved house and have settled in very well. With a pen full of toys to play with and the room in constant use they have plenty going on and plenty to watch. The other dogs are coming in and out all the time and often sit on the old couch and watch them. Karat is only allowed in at feed times so she is restricted now. On the nicest days we can lift them into the garden but this new pen where they spend most of their time. Grandchildren are coming to visit tomorrow!

Friday 27th June - “S” Litter 5 weeks old

Pups have been in this large pen for 5 days now and their co-ordination and strength has rocketed. Chasing, playing rough in the raised bed and squabbling over the big ball are their favourite games. They play hard, eat plenty and sleep well….sounds like a perfect life !

Monday 7th July 2023 - “S” Litter 6 weeks old

It’s been a busy week with lots of visitors wanting to see the pups and they were well ready to socialise with a bit more noise and activity. Their growth has been exceptional this week, all gaining over a kilo each, and play has become, rougher, faster, longer and they love to race around together playing chase.

Thursday 10th July 2025 - S litter 7 weeks old

It’s a busy week in the kennel with little more than a week before collection.

Crates for flight travel have been assembled with the help of grandchildren (who were quicker than me, surprise, surprise) they have been parked in the kennel so the pups are familiar.

Given the puppies enormous growth rate we collected more of the new food and more cardboard chippings for the kennel floor (🤣🐾🤣both inextricably linked) and made a first trip out in the car on a vet visit for health tests, microchipping and vaccinations. Once back, rather like children, pups became very excited, exploring the kennel as if for the first time.

Another nail clipping follows tomorrow, then visits from HPR friends (with their critical eyes 😅)who show and trial GSPs and GWP’s and finally with the improving weather pups will have playouts in the garden.
