"Aytee" goes Down Under

“Aytee" is on the move and from April 2020 our dogs, breeding, training and fieldwork will all be re-locating with Johnny and I to New Zealand to be closer to family. Online digital training manuals will continue unaffected, as will help and advice through fb and email, but 1to1 training for dogs and handlers in the UK will close at the end of this year. I would like to thank everyone who has visited Rectory Farm for training over the years and wish you all much fun and luck with your lovely dogs.

We do plan a last UK litter early in 2020 before we leave and details will be posted in the next few days.

To all our friends throughout the sport Johnny and I would like to say it is a privilege to be part of such great camaraderie and sportsmanship across the HPR world and we hope that friendships can continue as we both plan to return to the UK for huntin’/shootin’ seasons whenever possible, (starting October 2020!) so no need for goodbyes :)

GSP wins the Aytee Cup

Delighted today to present Martin Hooker with the Aytee Isadora Cup for winning First at the Norfolk and Suffolk HPR FT Club’s Novice Field Trial at Quidenham, Norfolk.

Two good runs put Martin and his young GSP Woodvilles Daisychain out in front and Dora and I spent a lovely day as picking up dog, amongst many other promising young dogs.

Thanks to the Norfolk and Suffolk HPR FT Club and to Philip and Jessica Thorrold of the Quidenham shoot for such great hospitality and well done to all the winners and runners.

Top Dog and Guns Award

3 points and 2 retrieves put Aytee Kalimar in the top dog position at the HVS Novice Field Trial in Northumberland yesterday. A great result for this combination, “Doc” and Ben Barrett and their 4th award was the only one of the day. Congratulations to you both.

Suffolk Rough Shoot

A tremendous day rough shooting with friends and their GSPs working for visiting Swiss and Canadian guns made for a perfect days sport. Plenty to shoot with good scenting, even a staunch point on fox. …. well done Jerzi, we will forgive you 🤨 although it looked (and obviously smelt) alive it was very cold and stiff ! Thanks to Louise Holmes and Hari Lampart for your company and agent Nick Elsdon at https://angliasporting.co.uk/ for laying on a superb day. So proud of all our dogs for giving these far flung visitors such a great account of HPRs.

The lovely & hugely talented Lilly Violet Adams, photographer/artist, also spent the day with us taking beautiful photographs. Lilly can be booked https://www.facebook.com/FarmGallerySuffolk/ and covers shoots, trials, countryside days etc plus Lilly paints fabulous portrait commissions of you and your dog.

We are so proud of them both and delighted to receive the Breeders Caldera Challenge Trophy again. Well done Darryl, a wonderful achievement for you and congratulations to all the other prizewinners.

Thanks to the judges, guns and everyone involved in the HVS and LMC Clubs for putting on such superb competitions, we really loved the Anley Shoot in Yorkshire and the day was topped off with Karen Saynor making up the lovely Tully - sooooooo deserved, congrats Karen !
